Welcome to Barnsley and District branch of the University of the Third Age (U3A).

We are a lively and friendly organisation offering a wide range of study, creative and leisure groups for the retired and semi-retired. It is a good way to meet people and make new friends. Costs are low because our activities are organised by our members who share their skills and expertise. We have interest groups meeting regularly and once a month we have a general meeting open to all members where we occasionally have a guest speaker.

We have lunches twice a month at local pubs, and day trips and holidays arranged to places of general or group interest. Use the menu on the left to explore in detail what we have to offer.

We hope you will join us, especially if you have an interest or skill to share. You are welcome to come to our general meetings on the first Monday of each month at 1:30pm, Priory Campus, Pontefract Road, Lundwood, to find out more. Alternatively contact our Membership Secretary on 01226 281555.
