Tuesday and Thursday Gardeners (Tuesday Group is Full)
The Tuesday Group meets fortnightly, usually at 2.00pm. The Thursday Group meet monthly
Both groups visit local gardens by arrangement, and also gardens of interest further afield. In addition members exchange surplus plants and cuttings of interest to other members. Car sharing is arranged whenever possible.
Ownership of a garden is not necessary for anyone joining a gardening group.
It is hoped that a third group will be formed soon to cater for this much loved pastime.
Our photographs show just two of the many visits enjoyed by the Groups in the recent past. Tuesday Gardeners also enjoyed a lecture from James Akers MBE when he visited Burton Grange. He spoke and showed his photographs with the passion and knowledge of an expert. His keenest interest is in species tulips, but this day he showed us the delicate beauty of true wild daffodils.
