Board Games Group

Table and Board Games (with Chess):

This fortnightly Wednesday afternoon games session at Birdwell sees members enjoying playing/learning a range of new and old games, including:  Upwords; Chess; Go; Hive; Mancala; Halma; Dominoes, Cribbage and, more recently, Mah Jong !  And we haven’t yet dipped into Scrabble, Backgammon or any of the many dice games !  Attendance is growing, but there is plenty of room for more!

The Chess Group  

This group alternates with the Board Games Group on Wednesday afternoons during the winter months.  See the Newsletter to “check” when the group is meeting. We enjoy friendly, unhurried (i.e. we do not currently use competition clocks !) but serious play. New members, from beginner grade upwards, are very welcome.
