Writing for Pleasure
Meetings are held fortnightly on Tuesday evenings at Priory Campus when we share with each other what we have written since the previous meeting and therein is much of the pleasure we gain from being a member.
We believe that every member has a worthwhile contribution to make and everyone is given the opportunity to do that. This is not a group for anyone with a writing ego!
Through our writing we experience laughter as well as sad, tender and poignant moments. The emphasis is on sharing.
From time to time we arrange friendly competitions as a means of broadening our writing skills. Although we are not into publishing we have put together in booklet format some of our competition pieces and other items of` writing.

Wordsmiths
Group members meet fortnightly on Wednesdays at 6.30pm at Priory Campus on the alternate week to the Writing for Pleasure Group.
We consider ourselves to be a group of equals regardless of the amount of writing experience that individual members might have, because of our mutual interest in the written word.
We support and encourage each other in our writing, with the result that everyone is able to make a contribution in which they share with, and learn from one another.
It should be noted that the first member of this group to have a novel published will have to buy several rounds of drinks!!!
